Side Rod Assembly

New steering side rod for Austin-Healey 100-4, 100-6 & 3000, BN1-BJ8. The Classic Gold AHB9609 is an authentic reproduction of the last tie rod assembly used by the factory on the production line, and sold through the dealers as a replacement part for earlier models.

The tie rod boot and the spring type clip are virtually identical to the original components. Like the original, there is a boss for the grease fitting, but the grease fitting was never fitted. Unlike other tie rod assemblies available today which use Nyloc nuts, we use the original slotted nuts and cotter pins. Underneath the vintage exterior is a modern, lubed-for-life rod end. With the advances in materials and lubricants, the Classic Gold tie rod assembly combines modern technology with vintage details. It is truly the best of both worlds.

The blue plastic shields protect the boots in shipping; remove before installation.
