Gudgeon pin clamp bolts with original hex heads were problematic for two reasons: the head came so close to the connecting rod that getting a socket on it was an issue (much less torquing it correctly), and proper BSF hex material became hard to find.

In an effort to provide a permanent solution to these problems, Moss has developed a kit with four DFARs (Defence Acquisition Regulations System) mil-spec (Grade 12.9, tensile rating 172,000 PSI) socket cap bolts, heavy section lock washers, and ARP Ultra-Torque assembly lube to ensure accurate torque readings. Bolts will require a 6mm Hex-bit.
