The hoods supplied by Moss are made on jigs matching those used by the factory, with staff that have over 100 years experience of hood manufacturing between them. The vinyl used is from the same supplier that supplied the Triumph factory. These are the closest you will get to an original hood in terms of quality, fit and appearance.
We offer 'Improved' versions of some of these hoods. Mohair was the original material used on the Triumph Stag, it gives a high quality, fade free look but can be more difficult to fit as it has less stretch than vinyl based materials. Stayfast is hard wearing, totally waterproof and a step above the Mohair quality.
All mohair hoods have their windows sewn in, although this is a time consuming and laborious process it is the only reliable way of attaching a window to these materials.
Fixed rear window type of hoods has the centre piece of clear plastic fixed to the hood. Whereas when having the Zip out rear window type of hood this centre piece is removable and can be unzipped. The zip is concealed behind a flap of material so as to stop rain water getting through.
